Beginning Quilting

Quilted Tote Bag

Learn a new and different way to construct a quilt while making a fun tote bag. You will learn several sewing and quilting techniques using various decorative stitches to complete your own unique tote bag. You can also add buttons or beads, it’s up to you. Pickup Supply List.

In this class you will be introduced to the sewing machine, sewing terms, fabrics, patterns, notions, measuring and pressing techniques. You will need to pickup a supply list before the first class. Machine owners make sure you are familiar with your machine before starting class. If you don’t own a machine, we have one you can use in class. Please let us know in advance, so we can plan to have one available for your use during class.
Introduction to Sewing: Making a Tote Bag!

Always wanted to learn how to sew, but not sure? This one-session class introduces you to a sewing machine and the sewing basics. This class will help when purchasing a machine, what to look for in a sewing machine. How much to spend, different types/brands of machines, types of stitches, etc. After this class, you will be ready for our Beginning Sewing I.
Recycled Jean Jacket -

Let me show you how to re-create a basic sweatshirt into your own unique jacket. The sweatshirt is disassembled and rearranged with fabric scraps, pieces, buttons, decorative threads, etc. Whatever your heart desires. Each step is carefully demonstrated and discussed including lining, collar and closures. There is homework between class sessions.

We will be offering a variety of classes geared
