Beginning Quilting Beginner Level – Three 3-hour sessions. - Class Fee: $60 - Classes will resume in the Fall. (New Class date will be added soon) - Time: 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. - Instructor: Shirley Hodge
Learn the basics of quilt-making while creating a block sampler quilt. This class covers selecting fabrics, rotary cutting techniques, borders and binding.
Quilted Tote Bag All Levels—Two 2 hour sessions, Class Fee $35 - Date and Time: TBA - Instructor: Cherlyn Monk
Learn a new and different way to construct a quilt while making a fun tote bag. You will learn several sewing and quilting techniques using various decorative stitches to complete your own unique tote bag. You can also add buttons or beads, it’s up to you. Pickup Supply List.

Learn the basics of hand applique’ through this introductory course. Fee includes kit, but please bring to class your basic sewing supplies.

In this class you will be introduced to the sewing machine, sewing terms, fabrics, patterns, notions, measuring and pressing techniques. You will need to pickup a supply list before the first class. Machine owners make sure you are familiar with your machine before starting class. If you don’t own a machine, we have one you can use in class. Please let us know in advance, so we can plan to have one available for your use during class.

Always wanted to learn how to sew, but not sure? This one-session class introduces you to a sewing machine and the sewing basics. This class will help when purchasing a machine, what to look for in a sewing machine. How much to spend, different types/brands of machines, types of stitches, etc. After this class, you will be ready for our Beginning Sewing I.

Start saving those old jeans. Would you like to learn how to turn those old jeans into a beautiful jacket? You will also learn new ways to accent and embellish your unique creation.

Anyone can make this beautiful jacket. It’s a comfortable loose-fitting jacket with three- quarter length sleeves. You can make it any length and dress it up down, it’s your choice.
Sweatshirt Jacket - Beginner Level - 2 sessions. Class Fee: $40 - Date: - Time: - Instructor: Nadine
Let me show you how to re-create a basic sweatshirt into your own unique jacket. The sweatshirt is disassembled and rearranged with fabric scraps, pieces, buttons, decorative threads, etc. Whatever your heart desires. Each step is carefully demonstrated and discussed including lining, collar and closures. There is homework between class sessions.

This class is for all beginner Teens who want to learn how to sew. In this class you will learn how to operate a sewing machine and make a pair pajama pants. Machines can be provided for students to use in class.

Pillows are a perfect accent to any room in your home. Pillows can reflect your elegance and creativity. Learn techniques such as adding elegant trims and piping details. You can make pillows any size and shape, square, rectangle or a bolster.

Students will learn the hand quilting stitch, also known as the rocking motion technique, quilt top marking and thread basting. This class will show you those tiny stitches you always wanted to learn how to do. Students will work on a small project to practice their skills. Pick up Supply List.

We will be offering a variety of classes geared toward children’s groups. Special classes can be arranged for Boys and Girls Organizations such as Girl Scouts or 4-H Clubs.
